Well it has taken us awhile to get this posted but as you can probably tell we are not the best at keep our blog updated. Yep, our last post was made waaaay back in December.
Anyway we just wanted to post a few of the photos from Maker Faire Kansas City. We had a great time and met lots of awesome folks. Wish we had more time to checkout the town, maybe next time.
During the show we had lots of people stop by and help us make some scrappy monsters. These guys are made and stuffed from scraps. Here are some photos of just a few of those swell people and the monsters they made. NICE JOB Y'ALL!
e also need to share our favorite photo and that is this one of our friend Ellie. A while back she gathered up all of her friends and family and help us sew monsters during our Craftsy Monster Sew. We could not leave without giving HER a monster and thanking her for all of her help and support! THANKS ELLIE YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
We cannot believe another year has gone by! We just wanted to thank everyone that has supported us over the past year, heck we want to thank you all for supporting us for TWO years. We could not ask for better looking fans than y'all! Wait no we mean better fans, we know you are probably the best looking fans on the planet but that would be weird to thank you for be good looking...we think.
ANYWAY! since we have not posted a paper monster in awhile we would like to thank you for your support by giving you our latest paper monster, FUNKY THE ELF!! We haev heard that once you put him together and sit him out, unlike his spying, creepy, stalking cousin, that sits there on the shelf all day this guy will actually help do the dishes and other household chores. Keep in mind we have not seen this happen, we have only heard rumors.
ENJOY and we look forward to another incredible year!
Ben, Sam and Ray
Benjamin has been hard at work on some new monster designs and we are happy to introduce the first of these to you here today...BIG BLABBER MOUTH BOBBY! He is one awesome dude but he does talk a lot, thus the Big Blabber Mouth part of his name. So if you love to have someone talking at you all day this is the monster for you. Seriously don't say we did not warn you. :)
We are planning our next "Monster Sew" and we are gonna need your help!
On June 29 & 30 we are planning to sew up a bunch-o-monsters for the Untied Way of Oklahoma City and by "a bunch-o-monsters" we mean 200-300... yup that's a lot of monsters but with your help we can do it.
What can you do to help, you ask?
Well the first thing you can do is join us Saturday June 29th and/or Sunday June 30th at the Firefly Summer Market at the 29th Street Mall in Boulder. We will need stuffers, pinners, eye put-er on-ers and sewers of course. We will have a job for everyone!
It is definitely not required but if you would like to RSVP so we know you are coming that would help us out tremendously.
Whats that you say? You are not going to be in town/you don't live anywhere near Boulder but would like to help.
SUPPLIES!! We need supplies, stuffing fabric, eyes...you know all of the things it takes to make a monster. Typically there is a monster sold before we send off a monster but in this case we are sending off 200-300 monsters without selling that many. So any help with supplies will be greatly appreciated. Click here to see a list of all the supplies we are going to need and a link to help out.
OF COURSE, you can always help out by buying a monster and providing a monster friend that will go to Oklahoma, you know, the more traditional A Monster to Love thing to do.
We will be posting other ways you can help out soon so make sure to come back soon.
