Makerie Market

Hey all you monster lovers! We at A Monster to Love HQ are sooper dooper excited to announce that we have been included in the Firefly Handmade spring market. The Makerie Market will be at the Chautauqua Community House April 21st and 22nd.

So if you are around Boulder in April make sure to stop by and pick up a monster or two. IF for some crazy reason you don't need another monster (FYI...you can NEVER have too many monsters) there are a lot of other swell vendors and great products. SO get on out there, there will be something for everyone!

OH YEAH...

We will have our new series of monsters available for sale for the very first time at the Makerie Market. We will be posting more about our new Fancy Pants Monsters soon!

Monster Drop for Ian

Over the weekend we found out about another great kiddo who was in the hospital and immediately went to work to make sure he had a monster.

Ian was admitted into Children's Hospital where he has been in and out of ICU. Seems he has a tiny hole in is heart that will not heal up on its own, so the docs may need to do surgery. As we get updates we will definitely pass them on.

AND A BIG THANKS to Stacey Schoonmaker for buying Ian's twin monster and making this drop possible! We <3 all the monster lovers out there. Without y'all we would not be able to send monsters to kids like Ian!

Mr. Big Mouth Orange Head!

A couple weeks ago when Mr. Big Mouth Orange Head went to live in his new home we were a little sad ;(

BUT the great thing about having your own monster lab is that you can make another Big Mouth Orange Head to keep you company! So we did that and because he is such great company we decided we would make him available to ALL of you.

Monster Sew 2012

Well folks it is official, Monster Sew 2012 is on...
ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!

The great people over at US-Reports are dedicating every Thursday of the month of April to giving back. So on April 19th they will be giving back by sewing up a boat load of monsters and shipping them off to Realities for Children.

I cannot think of a better way to give back! Giving back to some incredible kids here in Northern Colorado :)

The goal is 50 monsters in one day, a pretty tall order but I am positive they will be able to make it. As we get closer to the event we will be posting updates AND ofcourse the day of will have lots of updates and photos.

Monsters In Ethiopia

Today we packed up Mr. Yellow Floppy Orange Ears and his journey to Ethiopia begins. Our first international monster drop!

He is on his way to Nati. Nati's mom and dad died last year and he is now living with his aunt and uncle. Nati suffers from heat problems and he will be going in to the hospital soon to fix a malfunctioning heart valve. So of course we are doing our best to get Mr. Yellow Floppy Orange Ears to him as soon as he is out of surgery.
